Darwin Birds

Today I discovered that bird watching with decent binoculars is really awesome! All my watching today was down at the mangroves at Nightcliff and at Rapid Creek just near our house, but I managed to see heaps of birds in incredible detail. This is my list for the day ( not including really obvious ones we see without trying like lapwings and doves etc) (lots of identification was due to mum who knows all these birds in an instant).
Red headed honeyeater Myzomela erythrocephala

White-Gaped Honeyeater Lichenostomus unicolor

Red-Necked Stint Calidris ruficollis

Mistletoebird Dicaeum hirundinaceum

Dollarbird Eurystomus orientalis

Lemon-Bellied Flycatcher Microeca flavigaster

Black Butcherbird Cracticus quoyi

Double barred finch Taeniopygia bichenovii

Long tailed finch Poephila personata
