Allotment

Ginnie’s Beans

Well summer has nearly arrived in the UK and our little veggies in the allotment are finally starting to grow! Most importantly our broad beans that Ginnie planted many months ago have finally taken off and are now producing little broad beans!

Ira is pretty happy about the progress our little broad beans are making and so is already looking up recipes to use them in.

We also planted out lots of little corn plants yesterday and did a lot of weeding in our allotment (this was all against my will as I had just flown into the country and so just wanted to go to bed, but Ira was determined to keep me awake all day!).

Our little allotment is now nearly full! We have sunflowers, poppies, strawberries, gooseberries, figs, grapes, artichokes, onions, garlic, shallots, beetroot, carrots, spinach, broad beans, peas, squash and zucchinis all growing.
