Rogaining

Yesterday we went in our second Rogaine together. It was held in absolutely stunning bush in the Tallarook ranges, and for a day out walking you couldn’t ask for better … well .. it was kinda wet, but that added alot to the atmosphere.

Rogaining involves running around in the bush looking for orange/white things called controls. Some are not too hard to find .. some are diabolical. In this last event we thought we were doing OK until we came to try control number 51 … after half an hour wasted trying we gave up and moved on .. but near the end of the event we had some time to spare and thought we’d try again from the other side. This time we discovered 51, just meters from a road we’d walked up earlier.

Here’s Jan after conquering number 51.

Thanks to the organisers of this event for a great day out.
